Abstract

Los cambios generados por la perestroika inciden de manera negativa en América Latina: disminuyen las inversiones, los sectores de izquierda, progresistas, intelectuales, políticos y combatientes se sienten desamparados, hay una retracción de la prensa contestataria, ¿será que la región no interesa? Los cambios en los medios de comunicación en Europa del Este han sido vertiginosos, hay falta de imprentas y tecnologías. Se aprueban nuevas Leyes de Prensa,los problemas financieros y técnicos son comunes y requieren de ayuda son surgen centenares de periódicos, pero el desempleo amenaza a los periodistas. Se advierte un nuevo colonialismo cultural.
