Abstract

Este diálogo propone una reflexión histórica y geográfica acerca de los movimientos indígenas y el uso que hacen del video tanto en géneros de ficción como en documental. Desde sus experiencias de trabajo con distintos colectivos en Ecuador, Bolivia y México, Gabriela Zamorano y Christian León nos exponen sus ideas acerca de lo que podría llamarse el “video indígena”. Discuten sus características y tensiones ¿Cuáles son sus modos de producción y de distribución? ¿Cómo se piensa y se practica la autoría colectiva? Asimismo nos hacen conocer la gran variedad de géneros que hay detrás de lo que se suele llamar video indígena.
