Antecedentes, inicios y problemas del cine histórico en el Ecuador: apuntes para un estudio crítico

A partir de algunos desarrollos teóricos recientes sobre el significado de la historia y de la novela histórica, el autor propone trasponer estos conceptos para nombrar formas de hacer cine que se refieren a la historia, formas que identifica como cine de época, cine histórico, cine seudohistórico, y nuevo cine histórico, con algunos ejemplos del cine latinoamericano y una relación más detallada del cine ecuatoriano que se ha producido con este interés, incluyendo estrenos recientes.
