Abstract

El autor analiza el papel que tuvieron los medios de comunicación en el tratamiento del Terremoto de México en 1985, para aprovechar las experiencias logradas y rescatar las enseñanzas que nos permitan avanzar en este difícil terreno de las emergencias nacionales. Plantea la urgencia de elaborar una “Cultura básica de enfrentamiento de las emergencias nacionales”, cultura preventiva que nos permita encarar de mejor forma los desastres, tan frecuentes en nuestra región.
