Abstract

La vitalidad del idioma y su vigencia para expresar un mundo cambiante radica en que, al ser éste un organismo vivo, está sujeto a sufrir cambios, a traspasar o prestar palabras, en cuyo caso, se observarán las normas vigentes. Sin embargo ha de cuidarse que ésta sea absorvida por otra o contaminada fatalmente. Para el periodista, el idioma es la herramienta para informar y comunicar. Los comunicadores que enturbian, enferman y prostituyen el sentido de la expresión, se convierten en siervos, esclavos y mercenarios del nuevo colonialismo promovido por la globalización tecnológica y cultural. Los esbirros de lo moderno suelen ser propagadores y emisores gratuitos de la nueva Babel.
