Abstract

Hasta hoy la controvertida Unesco ha desempeñado un papel de trinchera en donde los propulsores del Nuevo Orden Internacional en las Comunicaciones y la Información (NOIIC) han encontrado refugio y apoyo para protegerse del fuego cerrado vertido por el sistema informativo internacional. Cualquier propuesta tendiente a romper el desequilibrio informativo constituye un "atentado a la libertad de la expresión"", según afirman los defensores del orden vigente. Inclusive intelectuales prestigiados como el escritor peruano Mario Vargas Llosa confunden deliberadamente ""libertad de prensa"" con ""libertad de empresa"", criticando el rol de la UNESCO en las comunicaciones desde la óptica del Norte industrial."
