Abstract

Unos cuantos números pueden, con su sobriedad, destacar la importancia de la Radio en Latinoamérica. A comienzos de la década del 60 en América Latina habla 14 millones de receptores de radio; 15 años más tarde habían llegado a 58 millones. El grado de saturación de las radioemisoras se destaca mediante el siguiente cuadro comparativo: América Latina tiene una radioemisora por cada 17.000 receptores; en cambio, en Canadá existe una radioemisora por cada 75.500 receptores; en Estados Unidos una radioemisora por cada 82.200 receptores; en Alemania Occidental una radioemisora por cada 680.000 receptores.
