Breve historia de la prensa en Ecuador. El aporte de Loja
Abstract
El periodismo, como producto no es una actividad aislada, depende de las realidades políticas, económicas, sociales, de desarrollo administrativo, lucha por el poder, prestigio del poder íntimamente vinculado con la religión, al igual que el factor educativo formal o informalmente tratados. En este texto se establece una síntesis cronológica de los medios y los periodistas que han influido en la historia mediática del país, desde el nacimiento de la República hasta la actualidad. Se hace referencia también al antecedente periodístico desarrollado por Eugenio Espejo en el siglo XVIII.
