Abstract

Este trabajo propone una lectura crítica de la noción de periodismo público en Colombia, cuya principal promotora es Ana María Miralles. Esta propuesta ha sido inspirada por el public journalism, surgido entre fines de la década del 80 y principios de los 90 en los Estados Unidos. El trabajo pone en discusión principalmente el modo en que Miralles concibe el rol de los medios en los regímenes democráticos. Señala algunos de sus alcances, pero también sus límites.
