Abstract

El abuso de la construcción verbal pasiva (verbo ser + participio) en el periodismo es una epidemia de simpleza, un alarde de elegancia artificial y obscura. La voz pasiva es una perífrasis, un rodeo en la tarea de comunicar que propicia la hipocrecía, el ocultamiento, la impunidad. La voz pasiva atenúa culpables, escusa a los responsables no dice con firmeza, no testimonia, marca imPersonalidad, evita compromisos. Por su responsabilidad social, el periodista no puede eludir estos problemas linguísticos que muchas veces conllevan matices éticos.
