Abstract

"CIESPAL llena un vacío . .. "" Esta frase sintetizó el pensamiento inicial, cuando en octubre de 1959, comenzó sus labores el Centro Internacional de Estudios Superiores de Periodismo para América Latina. Un objetivo: atender al desarrollo de las ciencias de comunicación en América Latina- fue el punto de partida de la entidad. Pero la experiencia acu mulada en este primer trecho del camino dio paso a nuevas necesidades e iniciativas, aunque todas relacionadas, lógicamente, con la razónde ser del Centro."
