Hay quienes afirman que el deporte nació con la humanidad, fue progresando y creciendo con ella. En este siglo, en el que la importancia del deporte ha llegado a límites inusitados, surgió, incontenible, el periodista deportivo, especialidad que tiene espacio propio, exigido por las masas de lectores, oyentes y televidentes.
