Abstract

Actualmente existen en el mundo alrededor de 300 actividades deportivas o recreativas de los más diversos géneros, gustos y dificultades. Informa que hay cinco docenas de deportes que se compiten en las olimpiadas de verano e invierno, y aquellas actividades propias de cada país o región. Sin embargo, los medios de comunicación –salvo contadas excepciones- se han caracterizado por brindar información solo de los deportes populares, lo cual se traduce en un incremento de las ventas o del raiting.
