Abstract

Hasta hace pocos años, la salud pública era concebida como responsabilidad exclusiva del Estado y como problema a ser resuelto por médicos y salubristas en los hospitales, centros o puestos de salud. Este concepto ha ido modificándose paralelamente al desarrollo de nuevas escuelas de pensamiento que han desplazado el eje de atención de la medicina curativa a la medicina preventiva. La comunicación deberá constituirse en un eje transversal que articule las distintas acciones de movilización social.
