Abstract

Los periódicos no llegan a ser tan ofensivos al ambiente como lo son los automóviles, pero podrían hacer mucho más en defensa de la ecología. Algunos ya lo están haciendo, varios periódicos han remplazado las tintas de base de petróleo por tintas con base de aceites de soya que son menos tóxicos, así la opción para los editores que priorizan el color será escoger nuevas tintas sin metales pesados y utilizar aquellas con pigmentos vegetales; las plantas impresoras deben cambiar las soluciones basadas en alcohol al proceso que no produce VOCs igual el 65% de la publicidad debe ser eliminada de la prensa escrita y hacerla en línea.
