Abstract

Este ensayo analiza importantes temas que aportan al conocimiento global de la situación de la comunicación en Latinoamérica: los avances tecnológicos proyectados al próximo siglo, el estado actual de los grandes medios de comunicación y los problemas de desinformación. Frente a la gran tecnología como la autopista de la información ajustada a los cambios macro económicos del neoliberalismo, se impone un proceso como el de la emisora popular que rescate la posibilidad de informar a los sectores desinformados de la comunidad rural, dispersa y urbano marginal.
