Abstract

Las primeras emisiones de una señal de televisión en blanco y negro o monocromática se realizaron en 1937, tanto en Francia como en el Reino Unido. Estas emisiones regulares no presentaron acogida en el público de la época, ya sea por los costos, el tamaño de los receptores y la calidad de la programación. Los logros en el desarrollo tecnológico de la televisión siempre estuvieron de la mano de la cinematografía. Habla de la unificación de los sistemas que primero condujeron a la televisión en componentes y luego a la televisión digital. Al codificar cada señal para la emisión cada grupo investigativo opto por sus sistemas PAL, SECAM o NTSC y enuncia las dificultades de encontrar un formato estándar.
