Abstract

Costa Rica cuenta ya con una actividad científica respetable en la que participan 1.417 investigadores distribuidos en 146 unidades de investigación, con 30 mil computadoras y 182 bases de datos. El desarrollo del periodismo científico ha sido la consecuencia lógica de la necesidad de comunicar a la sociedad los adelantos científicos y tecnológicos propios y ajenos. Los periódicos y noticiarios de radio y televisión del país se muestran interesados en la divulgación científica y tecnológica.
