Abstract

Casi medio siglo después de la bomba atómica, a los 40 años del descubrimiento del ADN,a los 30 años del Sputnik y a los 20 de la revolución electrónica, el periodismo científico toma carta de naturalización en el mundo industrializado. La situación del periodismo científico en América Latina es compleja. El autor intenta un resumen, basado en investigaciones publicadas, en los escasos documentos disponibles y en conversaciones personales con periodistas científicos, investigadores y profesores de comunicación. Concluye con propuestas de acción y formación para superar el aparente estancamiento.
