Abstract

Los cambios del papel estatal en el manejo de la economía mexicana son de incuestionable trascendencia. Pero en relación a la reforma política y la autonomía informativa de los medios, las medidas son mucho más modestas. El autor recuerda los antecedentes del peculiar sistema político mexicano y su relación con los medios de comunicación. También señala los factores que propician los cambios en curso y es optimista respecto al ritmo de la modernización de los medios en México.
