Abstract

En este trabajo se pretende echarle un vistazo al Movimiento del Video Popular en América Latina y ofrecer información respecto a qué es lo que se hace y cómo el Movimiento se va organizando y va recogiendo las redes en un mar infestado de pirañas. Hace mucho se dieron cuenta del inmenso mercado que se abría con el video y el magnífico retorno económico que ofrecía este último hijo del "séptimo arte"" que muchos cineastas ""puros"" todavía consideran como el ""primo pobre""o el patito feo que deshonra la familia del sublime arte de la imagen en movimiento."
