Abstract

La migración a la tecnología digital no es una opción, es un imperativo inevitable. Estamos ante un nuevo paradigma de comunicación que apuesta por el consumo individualizado y selectivo, similar al que usamos cuando navegamos en Internet. En este contexto, la audiencia deja de ser masa y el emisor pasa a comunicarse unilateralmente con sus públicos. En América Latina, la televisión digital terrestre TDT, por hoy, apenas es un proyecto más que una realidad.
