La prensa gratuita que, irrumpió en 1995, con la aparición del diario METRO en Estocolmo. Hoy en España se afirma que fomenta el hábito lector, crea nuevos lectores e incrementa el consumo del resto de diarios. Su independencia es sensiblemente mayor al de la prensa de pago, que es "claramente sectaria"". Quizá lo gratuito es el estigma pues se asocia a la falta de calidad."Downloads
