Abstract

Las nuevas tecnologías han convulsionado la vieja sociedad industrial, forjando nuevas relaciones económicas. El reto de la Sociedad de la Información es más un desafío cultural y social que puramente tecnológico. Las nuevas tecnologías de la información se están convirtiendo en un factor de referencia fundamental para la época de transición y crisis como la que se vive hoy. Todas las prospectivas parecen prever que en el futuro las redes de comunicación serán impulsadoras de cambios en el sistema socio económico de las naciones. Sin embargo la complejidad intrínseca a las nuevas tecnologías acaba generando analfabetismo tecnológico que excluye a grandes sectores de la población.
