Abstract

Desde el mundial de fútbol en Francia, han transcurrido solo cuatro años, hasta lograr un progreso tecnológico exponencial e inesperado. Este artículo se propone un recorrido por el aspecto tecnológico de la comunicación que distinguirá a la Copa del Mundo, Corea/Japón 2002, la primera del siglo XXI, la primera hecha fuera América y Europa y la primera organizada en dos países, uno de ellos tigre asiático, pero ambos leones tecnológicos mundiales. ¿Será pues la más singular de la historia por los avances técnicos inimaginables en la transmisión de los partidos?
