Abstract

En México, a diferencia de otros países, el atentado a las Torres Gemelas tuvo una connotación distinta, debido a su cercanía a los Estados Unidos, hecho que produjo efectos políticos y económicos inmediatos. Pero los medios de comunicación no solo mediatizaron el conflicto, ellos fueron constructores de conflictos. Los sucesos de New York llevaron a un estado de pánico en los medios y a un temor generalizado en la opinión pública.
