Abstract

El periodismo, a lo largo de su existencia se ha enfrentado a numerosas crisis para consolidar unos elementos fundamentales que le permitan fortalecer el poder de contribuir a la democracia y ayudar al ciudadano a autogobernarse. El presente artículo es fruto de una tesina presentada a la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid y utilizó el análisis de contenido cualitativo para evaluar lo que las versiones online de los principales periódicos de circulación nacional en España están entregando a la población bajo el título de periodismo online. Las conclusiones pueden ayudar al debate respecto a la idea de periodismo que se quiera proponer a la sociedad. El marco teórico fue la teoría del framing y la agenda setting.
