Abstract

La concentración del poder comunicativo a favor de las naciones de mayor desarrollo, junto a la dependencia económica y la dominación cultural crecieron significativamente. Las grandes empresas y agrupaciones de profesionales de la comunicación desataron una tenaz campaña contra el NOII por considerarlo atentatorio a la libertad de información. La UNESCO estableció la Comisión Internacional para el estudio de los problemas de comunicación (Comisión Mac Bride) cuyo Informe se presentó en 1980 y marcó un hito en la historia de la comunicación
