Abstract

Almodovar marca un antes y un después en el cine español, no solo porque construyó su cine al margen del establishment y como autodidacta, sino porque sus referencias están en su propia realidad y no en el pasado franquista. Con alma de provocador y fiel testigo del tiempo, en 1999 ganó casi todo: Mejor director en Cannes, el Goya español, director europeo del año y el ansiado Oscar de Hollywood.
