Abstract

A finales del siglo diecinueve corresponsales y medios estadounidenses contribuyeron a ejercer presiones sobre el presidente Mc Kinley, a través de la manipulación de la opinión pública, hasta convertirla en partidaria de la guerra contra el poder colonial español. Los conflictos fueron cubiertos hasta por agentes de inteligencia, diplomáticos y consejeros militares. "La guerra de los corresponsales"" se denominó a la guerra cubano-española (1898) pues detrás de los medios estaba el naciente imperio que trabajaba por su expansión."
