El autor inicia refiriéndose al mal uso de la "a"" por los periodistas. Luego se pronuncia por los tres campos en la ortografía española que generan problemas: las tildes, las mayúsculas y las letras. Hace un análisis de los cambios que propuso Gabriel García Marqués y agrega varios comentarios de cultores de la lengua español."
