Abstract

En 1995, en Ecuador se reformó la Ley de Radiodifusión, vigente desde 1975. Las reformas en nada favorecen el desarrollo de las radios comunitarias y más bien buscan su aniquilamiento. La Coordinadora de Radios Populares del Ecuador -CORAPE- con el respaldo de varias organizaciones populares, presentó la demanda por inconstitucionalidad de algunos artículos de esta Ley y de su reglamento. El autor expone y analiza los principales puntos de la demanda, las garantías constitucionales que violan con la ley, así como la resolución del Tribunal de Garantías Constitucionales (TGC).
