Abstract

El gerundio es una de las piezas del sistema de la lengua, indispensable e inevitable: no se puede hablar y menos escribir sin gerundios. Es una pieza que ofrece una curiosa peculiaridad: quienes dominan el uso de la lengua echan miradas suspicaces y algunos didactas la presentan como algo riesgoso que mejor resulta evitarla, cuando realmente son dos las reglas básicas para usarlo sin problemas: El gerundio debe relacionarse con el verbo principal y las acciones del verbo principal y el gerundio deben suceder al mismo tiempo.
