Abstract

Este artículo no reúne un conjunto de respuestas cerradas a la pregunta de si son necesarios los ombudsman?, pretende ser un planteamiento abierto, una propuesta. En la primera parte, el autor da a conocer el origen de la palabra realiza una retrospectiva del caso brasileño y latinoamericano. En la segunda, esboza algunas conclusiones y perspectivas sobre la actividad actual del ombudsman y su futuro.
