El filósofo Mark Johnson señala que "nos comunicamos porque compartimos ciertas metáforas o imágenes comunes"" Variada es la gama metafórica para aludir a las redes electrónicas de información. Una de las más utilizadas es la de superautopista informativa. En consideración a que las metáforas son “pautas primarias de pensamiento-acción”
